Trans Am – Was the 10 Year Wait Worth It?

2016 Pontiac Trans Am Review & Specs….

After more than 10 years without a new model we’re expecting big things, and by the look of the photos we won’t be disappointed!

As previous models, the new Trans Am will be based on the Camaro but offers more aggression and a tighter ride.

Base models will feature great audio systems, full leather and all the extras you’d expect; sat nav, climate etc. Basically the base model will be the equivalent to the higher specced Camaro.

The exterior will have its own panels including the longer hood that was so popular with the Firebird; the four headlight set up at the front will be complemented by the beautifully modelled rear with the enclosed tail lights.

There’ll be a few options for the alloys that are Trans Am specific, and a new exhaust system to give the car the soundtrack it deserves. Rumours have it that as well as a 3.6 liter turbocharged V6 engine and a 6.2 liter V8 engine that there may be a 7 liter on the way that can rev up to over 9000rpm, all harnessed by a 6 speed transmission available in auto or manual which will be sending all the power to those big rear wheels.

Prices are yet to be confirmed but the base models should be around $45,000 and be available by the end of 2016. As soon as we hear more you’ll be the first to know!
